Exempt a learner from a Beeline they no longer need to complete — and undo it if needed.

Sometimes a learner is assigned a Beeline that doesn't apply to them: they've covered it elsewhere, they've changed roles, or it was assigned by mistake. Waiving exempts that one learner from that one Beeline, without affecting anyone else. It's fully reversible, so you can put the Beeline back whenever you need to.

How to waive a Beeline

  1. Go to Reporting in the Admin menu, then open the Groups tab.
  2. Open the group the learner belongs to. You can use the classification tabs or the Search for a group box to find it.
  3. Click Assigned Content and choose Beelines.
  4. Find the learner's row. Each row pairs one learner with one Beeline, so use the Search box or Filter by Beelines to narrow the list.
  5. Click the menu on that row and select Waive.
  6. Read the confirmation, then click Waive learner. The Status changes to Waived.

Once you've waived it, the Beeline drops off the learner's home immediately — on both web and mobile — and they're left out of that Beeline's completion reporting. Everyone else keeps it as normal, and any new Beelines still get assigned to the learner as usual. If the same Beeline reaches them through more than one group, the waiver covers all of them.

How to remove a waiver

  1. In the same Beelines view, find the waived row.
  2. Click the menu and select Remove waiver.
  3. Confirm with Remove waiver. The Beeline goes back on the learner's to-do list and its Status resets to Not started.

The learner starts fresh, because any progress they had was cleared when the Beeline was waived.
