In this article you'll build a full course with AI Build Mode — from your audience to a ready-to-edit draft.

AI Build Mode turns your idea and source material into a structured course inside Beeline, in one guided flow. Instead of outlining, writing, and building separately, you answer a few questions and the AI drafts the persona, objectives, outline, and lesson content for you to refine. Before you start, it helps to have your storyboard or plan in mind and any source material ready — slide decks, documents, transcripts, videos, or links. The more context you give the AI, the better the draft.

Open AI- Assisted Build Mode

  1. Select Quick Actions in the top navigation bar, then choose Create Beeline.
  2. Choose your build method and select AI-Assisted Build, then Next. This opens the Storyboard Builder.

Step 1: Set up your training

The Setup step is where you tell the AI who you're training and what they need to learn.

  1. Choose who's learning. Pick an audience card — for example Frontline Workers, Sales Team, or Leadership & Management — or build your own with Custom Audience. You can also reuse a saved profile with From Persona Library.
  2. Describe what they need to learn. Use the main prompt to say what the training should cover — the AI works out the rest.
  3. Add the Business impact and Learning outcomes. Note the result you want for the business and what learners should be able to do by the end.
  4. Check the Training Profile. Beeline auto-configures a profile (duration, lessons, words per lesson, and checks). Open Adjust training type & duration to change it.
  5. Add your Source Materials (optional). Use Add file, Add text, Add URL, or Record Voice Note. Supported files: PDF, PPT, PPTX, TXT, MP3, WAV, MP4.
  6. Select Continue. The AI generates a few personalised questions — answer each one (pick an option or write your own) to sharpen the draft.

Tick Lock to sources if the AI should use only the material you've uploaded — useful for compliance or proprietary content, as it keeps the draft grounded in your sources and reduces the risk of invented detail.

Step 2: Review the design

On Review Beeline Design, the AI presents what it understood so you can refine it before building.

  1. Review the Target Audience Persona — job function, experience level, motivation, and tech proficiency. Select Edit to adjust it, or Use Existing to swap in a saved persona.
  2. Refine the Learning Goals, Learning Objectives, and Competencies. Edit any wording, or use the pencil on each section.
  3. If something's off, select Edit Answers to change your inputs, or Regenerate for a fresh take on the same inputs.
