Gamification
Motivate learners with points, badges, and leaderboards — and set up, award, and customise it all as an admin.
Gamification rewards learners for their effort and progress. They earn points automatically as they complete work, collect badges for milestones, and see where they rank on a leaderboard. As an admin, you control how points are awarded, what they're called, and who appears on the leaderboard.

How it works
Learners earn points automatically for completing work and hitting milestones, and you can also award points by hand. Badges recognise achievements — including automatic weekly badges for top performers. The Leaderboard ranks learners by their points.
Turn gamification on
Gamification is switched on by the Beeline team. If you don't see points, badges, or a leaderboard in your workspace, contact support to have it enabled.
How points are earned automatically
Points are awarded as learners progress, using values you set on your content:
- Beeline completion — open a Beeline's Settings and set the points under Rewards & Progression (the points award field; default 2).
- Assessments — open the assessment's Assessment Settings and set the points award (default 10). Points scale with the learner's score, with extra for a perfect score and a first-attempt pass.
- Submissions and individual questions carry their own point values too.
Award points and badges manually
Go to Manage → Users and open the User Learning XP tab.
- To reward one learner, use the Manual Learning XP Award panel: Select User, enter Points and/or a Badge Label (e.g. "Event Attendance"), then click Add Award.
- To reward many at once, use Bulk Learning XP Upload: click Download Template, fill it in, then upload your completed Excel/CSV file.
- The Manual Awards view shows each learner's points and badges; All Awards History shows a dated log of every award. Use the download icon to export the data.
